How We Can Help
Interiors
Sun Prairie Kitchen Transformation
This kitchen remodel was guided by how the homeowners wanted to experience their space every day- curated, connected, and calm. The original layout was closed off from the rest of the home, so the design focused on bringing in more natural light and improving functionality while still feeling warm and grounded. Custom green cabinetry adds an organic presence that ties the kitchen into the surrounding spaces. And because the homeowners love to entertain, a thoughtfully designed bar was added to the dining area- giving guests a place to help themselves while conversation and preparation continue to flow with ease.

Testimonials
The team at Sims really exceeded our expectations in transforming our kitchen and living room. We absolutely love the results and felt that the whole process was super smooth! We would not hesitate to work with them again.
Margaret was our first contact to see our existing space and learn about our needs, and she was incredible to work with throughout the whole project! We loved how excited and enthusiastic she was to design our dream space, and her initial design was spot on in what we wanted. Her initial work alone was enough to make us confident in signing with Sims.
The way pricing was presented alongside her designs in a “good”, “better”, “best” table was also a huge selling point for us as we felt comfortable knowing what we could be paying prior to any final material selection. The breakdown gave price ranges for every category in the project and allowed for mixing good/better/best (e.g. quartz counters in the “best” column with simple cabinet handles in the “good” column). Aside from some upgrades and additions, our final price was in the ranges initially presented to us, and was actually on the mid to low end of all the initial estimates we received.
Moving to the final design and material selection process with Margaret was an enjoyable time for us. It took a few trips to the Stoughton office to finalize everything, but it was great to build a mood board of materials with options available in the office. There was absolutely no pressure to move to more expensive materials. We were even warned (or congratulated if we reduced the price) if a material would change the good/better/best column for its category from our original expectations. At the end of our material selection, we received a breakdown of things that exceeded the original price ranges (custom cabinet colors, higher quality LVP, adding a staircase to the changes) and signed to get our project scheduled.
Our start date was about 3 months from the date that we signed the full contract. Leading up to the start, we met our project managers, Mike and Steve, to go over our existing space and the scope of all changes. Both were super easy to work with and great communicators. A week before our start date we received a calendar of every day in our project and who would be there. Any shifts in schedule were well communicated (e.g. electricians will come on Monday instead of Friday). Most importantly, the whole project was completed on the day they said it would be done, even while working around a couple factory paint issues on the cabinets.
All of the workers involved did great work and were respectful of our space by locking up each day and making sure our cat remained inside. It was easy to trust them to continue working while we were away on vacation for over a week. Working from home on most days, it meant a lot to overhear the workers genuinely complimenting the material selections and showing pride in the quality of their work. They did an amazing job with some complex detailed work!
There was never a time in our project where we questioned our choice of working with Sims, and hope to work with the team again on future projects!
